Mark Bailey is Queensland’s Transport and Main Roads Minister in the Palaszczuk Labor Government and the local member for Miller. His portfolio oversees Australia’s largest state-controlled road network (at over 33,000kms), along with 19 state-owned ports and Queensland’s urban and freight rail network.

Penny Ford is the Executive Director (Transport Planning Projects) in the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in Queensland.

She leads a large multidisciplinary team, based in locations across Queensland to deliver transport planning for all modes which guides investment priorities for Queensland to achieve the right transport outcomes at the right time.

Professor David Hood AM

Professor David Hood AM is a civil and environmental engineer with vast experience across major civil and military projects, professional development in emerging economies, senior management in both the public and private sectors and in education.  He is a passionate advocate for action to address global heating resulting from the burning of fossil fuels.

In 2006, David co-initiated, and was Founding Chairman until 2011 of the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA)

David is an accredited Presenter with Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project

David was the 2012 National President of Engineers Australia (EA).  In 2013 David was made an Honorary Fellow of EA.

On Australia Day 2013, David was made a Member of the Order of Australia.

David was a director on the Board of Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE), and is a Queensland Councillor of the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) and has served on the ACF Board.

Patrick Hastings

Chief Delivery Officer

Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC)

Patrick Hastings is the Chief Delivery Officer of the Infrastructure Sustainability Council and is responsible for all customer facing aspects of the ISC including the IS Rating Scheme, training, membership and events across Australia and New Zealand.

Patrick was previously the Chief Executive Officer of the Gladstone Industry Leadership Group and has more than 15 years of experience in developing multi-stakeholder partnerships to address social impacts of projects.

Passionate about building sustainable communities, he has been recognised for leading and developing award-winning social, economic, community and environmental partnerships and engagement strategies.

Ed Ross

Ed is a qualified carpenter, holds a diploma of Business (Agriculture), the co founder of TradeMutt Pty Ltd and is a founding director of the This is a conversation starter foundation Ltd.

Born and bred in Longreach Queensland and growing up on sheep and cattle stations, Ed has always been a hands on type operator. Spending majority of his schooling life in boarding schools in both Toowoomba and Brisbane. During his years at boarding school he enjoyed the inter house competition as well as cricket and debating. Finishing their with the Agricultural science award and vice house captain he tried his chances at working on one of the largest cattle stations in the world, Lake Nash.
