Normalising the Project Management Baseline as a Decision Support Tool

Dr Brett Thiele is an Executive Director with RP Infrastructure who has over 30 years’ experience across aviation, maritime, transport and Defence sectors. Brett’s career spans leadership roles in engineering and construction, where he has consistently driven strategic transformation, risk management, and operational excellence in complex environments. Specialising in strategic planning, portfolio management, and project controls; Complex project delivery; Stakeholder engagement; Building high-performance teams to exceed expectations and Project and business transformation, Brett is passionate about simplifying complexity, sustainability, regional connectivity and creating resilient systems that enable and promote economic growth.

Brett holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), a Master of Engineering Science, and a PhD in the field of Portfolio, Program & Project Management. He is a Fellow, Engineering Executive and Chartered member of Engineers Australia and Chair of Engineers Australia College of Leadership and Management Board, an RPEQ and graduate of the Australian Company Director’s Course.
