Designing rail projects to allow partial commissioning if delayed, and deliver benefits earlier to customers

Julien Morizet is a chartered professional engineer and RPEQ with 24 years of international rail experience. After he completed his Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Julien held engineering, planning and operational roles in major railway companies in France, The Netherlands and Switzerland. He relocated to Australia in 2018 to join a Tier-1 consultancy (WSP) as a rail operations and planning consultant supporting various complex projects in Australia and New Zealand, to develop rail passenger and freight services. Since 2024, Julien has worked within the Strategic Rail Planning branch of TMR (QLD), He provides internal strategic consulting within the rail division of TMR to improve the financial and operational performance of rail in Queensland.
