Butch is a Chartered Environmental Professional with 34 years’ experience in environmental management, assessment, and approvals. He has extensive expertise in conservation strategy and has worked across the power, transport, and resources sectors. His project experience includes major transport initiatives such as the Coomera Connector, Burleigh to Palm Beach, Inland Rail, Woolgoolga to Ballina, Logan Enhancement Project, Gateway Upgrade North, Kingsford Smith Drive, Smith Street Upgrade and the Multimodal Transport Corridor. He maintains current working knowledge of state and Commonwealth legislation.
Butch has held senior leadership roles, including leading two environmental consulting firms, and currently serves on the Industry Advisory Panel for the School of Sustainability at Bond University. With strong business acumen and international experience across seven countries and three continents, he delivers practical solutions to environmental challenges, balances social, environmental, and economic considerations, and consistently achieves high-quality technical and client outcomes.
