Andrew Burbridge is Manager of the Walking and Cycling Infrastructure team at Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads. He works to make active transport safer and more accessible through practical collaborative design and research. With career experience both locally and internationally, Andrew brings a technical perspective to projects that improve safety for people walking and cycling. He has contributed to national standards as well as award-winning initiatives, and uses real world insights to promote a better transport network for all Queenslanders. Outside of work, Andrew is a keen plodder having completed marathons in Cardiff, Paris, Budapest and Florence—most recently setting a personal best just days after turning sixty.
