Dr Sarah Dods leads GHD’s APAC team in advanced analytics and AI. With over 25 years of experience at the intersection of emerging data and complex operational environments, she has delivered projects across transport, energy, water, health and finance. Her work has a particular focus on the value proposition, measurement integrity and statistical defensibility of utilising new data sources.
Sarah is a pioneer and award-winning practitioner in the use of connected vehicle data (CVD) for road safety, asset management and infrastructure decision-making. She has worked extensively with transport agencies across Australia on deriving CVD insights for established traffic engineering and planning practice, including practical questions around accuracy, coverage and comparability with traditional methods. By training, Sarah is a physicist, innovator and electrical engineer, and contributes to international AI standards development through ISO and IEC.
