Simon Hurst is a Senior Bridge and Civil Structures Engineer at Arup, who started his career in Brisbane, before moving to the United Kingdom to work in Arup’s Cardiff office. He has recently returned to Australia, having spent 11 years working on a number of large UK rail infrastructure projects over this time.
One of the more notable projects was the Parsons Tunnel Rockfall Shelter, where Simon was the structural lead, responsible for the design of a unique structure, constructed in an extremely challenging site and environment.
