Cassie Gordon is an archaeologist and cultural heritage specialist with expertise in material culture, landscape archaeology, and digital documentation techniques working as a cultural heritage officer at the Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland). She has experience applying photogrammetry to historic and contemporary sites, including gravestones, roadside memorials, and heritage infrastructure. Cassie’s research explores the intersections of memory, public engagement, transport heritage, and digital preservation, emphasising the importance of accessible heritage documentation. She has presented on material cultural and commemoration at international conferences, including the Australasian Society for Historical Archaeology, the Association of Gravestone Studies (USA), the World Archaeological Congress, and the Association of Australian Archaeology. Cassie integrates photogrammetry into her work as a tool for recording and interpreting cultural heritage, ensuring that historical landscapes and personal memories are preserved for future generations.
