Wasantha is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Engineer in both Queensland (RPEQ) and Victoria (RPEV), with over 24 years of experience in road design, construction, and maintenance, with a strong specialisation in pavement design. He has played a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major road alliance and design-and-construct (D&C) projects across South-East Queensland and Victoria, holding senior leadership and technical positions on high-profile infrastructure programs. Wasantha brings deep expertise in earthworks and pavement construction and has provided on-site design and construction support to many of Australia’s leading Tier 1 contractors. His diverse career includes roles such as Director, Principal Pavement Design Engineer, Contract Administrator, and Project Manager. He possesses comprehensive knowledge of both local and Austroads design standards. Beyond project delivery, Wasantha has contributed to the updating and publishing Pavement Design Guidelines and associated specifications for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)
