Mahmoud is a Pavement Design Manager with over 15 years of experience in pavement engineering, delivering practical and cost-effective solutions that enhance asset performance and longevity. He has a strong focus on sustainability, with experience across highways, airfields, and industrial infrastructure.
At Mott MacDonald, he acts as Pavement Technical Lead on multiple projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. Mahmoud is also involved in strategic pavement–carbon initiatives, supporting the development of lower-carbon design approaches and helping clients meet sustainability targets without compromising performance.
He has extensive experience in managing and leading pavement laboratory operations, ensuring robust testing and data-driven decision-making.
Mahmoud holds a PhD and MSc in Pavement Engineering, and a BSc in Civil Engineering, and has worked with a wide range of national and international clients.
