Pavement Rehabilitation on the 46C Dawson Highway: Approach, Delivery and Lessons Learned

Jerome Egwurube is currently a Senior Engineer with Fitzroy District of Department of Transport and Main Road (DTMR). He is in Charge of Pavement Rehabilitation project delivery. In 2017, the DTMR engaged Jerome to address engineering
challenges related to dispersive soils on the Bruce Highway. Leading a research team, Jerome developed
stabilization solutions using statistical analysis to optimize triple blend stabilization. These findings
were published in the peer reviewed Journal. Recently In collaboration
with CQUniversity and QMAG, Jerome investigated stabilization using
magnesium oxide to rehabilitate expansive soils. Before joining DTMR in 2022, Jerome lectured at CQUniversity for 10 years.
