James is a Graduate Civil Engineer with Transport and Main Roads (TMR)
, having commenced with the department approximately two years ago as a casual Student Engineer. During this time, he has gained experience across road safety and traffic management, project planning, and project delivery within Queensland’s transport infrastructure sector. He also contributed to research undertaken in conjunction with TMR’s Pavement Rehabilitation Unit (PRU) Internal Research Program through his thesis project looking at the effectiveness of bitumen emulsion for pavement base stabilisation. His professional interests centre on improving the safety, efficiency, and long-term performance of road infrastructure to better support the communities that rely on it every day.
