CCRA to Delivery Readiness: Turning Climate Risk Insights into Infrastructure Decisions

Maria Austria is a senior civil engineer and sustainability practitioner with over 15 years of experience delivering infrastructure, climate resilience, and sustainability outcomes. Her career includes early professional experience in international markets, followed by extensive practice across Australia, working across the planning, design, and delivery of complex infrastructure and building projects.

Maria brings expertise in civil engineering design, sustainability strategy, data-driven analysis, and project management, with experience spanning infrastructure, buildings, land development, and sustainability advisory services. She is recognised for her technical leadership in applying engineering-led decision frameworks, including multi-criteria analysis, embodied carbon assessment, and performance benchmarking, to support prioritised and delivery-ready outcomes.

She has extensive experience working with internationally recognised sustainability rating frameworks, including Infrastructure Sustainability (IS and IS Essentials), Green Star, and LEED. Maria works at the intersection of technical rigour and practical delivery, helping project teams translate sustainability and resilience objectives into actionable decisions and measurable outcomes.
