Cloud-Based Sight Distance and Operating Speed Analysis: Democratising Road Safety Engineering Tools

Luke Friske is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) with over 19 years of experience. He maintains an active technical practice as a Principal Engineer, where he delivers complex infrastructure projects, including the Exit 45 North Business Case and Detailed Design, and performs detailed Road Safety Audits for TMR.

Leveraging this frontline experience, Luke also serves as Director of Road.Engineering, a SaaS company dedicated to democratising engineering tools. His unique dual role, simultaneously designing high-risk infrastructure and building digital platforms, allows him to identify critical industry bottlenecks and solve them with practical, code-compliant automation. His mission is to bridge the gap between strategic planning and technical rigor, empowering agencies to use available data and real-time analysis for proactive, risk-informed investment.
