Claire is an experienced health and safety leader with a diverse background spanning healthcare, construction and infrastructure. Beginning her career in nursing, Claire developed a strong passion for helping people, supporting wellbeing, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others – values that continue to shape her leadership approach today.
With her experience in safety leadership roles, Claire has built a reputation for driving practical, people-focused safety and compliance outcomes across complex operational environments. Currently working within Fulton Hogan’s Queensland business, she leads initiatives across operational safety, subcontractor compliance, psychosocial risk management, workforce capability, environmental compliance, and business improvement. Claire is passionate about empowering people in their roles by helping them understand not only the importance of the work they do, but also how their individual contributions support the wider community. Whether through developing frontline workers, mentoring safety professionals, or collaborating with operational leaders, she is committed to building strong, capable teams and creating environments where people feel supported to succeed. In addition to her operational leadership, Claire serves as the Queensland AfPA Safety Committee Chair, working alongside industry leaders, researchers, contractors, and government stakeholders to progress road worker safety, innovation, and emergency industry risks.
