Dr Daniel Ainalis is a Senior Engineer specialising in sustainable transport and infrastructure, with expertise in decarbonisation strategies, low- and zero-emission vehicle technologies, and freight systems. He contributes to national initiatives to reduce transport emissions through data-driven modelling, lifecycle analysis, and the development of practical tools for industry and government.
Prior to his current role, Daniel spent eight years in Europe in research and leadership positions at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London. As Research Manager at Cambridge’s Centre for Sustainable Road Freight, he led major projects on alternative fuels, charging infrastructure, and carbon reduction for heavy vehicles.
