Gerson Ida is a Principal Manager (SMS) with RoadTek, responsible for leading the planning, development, and delivery of complex road infrastructure projects, including the Statewide Structures Maintenance Performance Contract. A Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (Civil), he graduated in Brazil and holds an MBA in Logistics, with postgraduate studies in Brazil, Japan, and France in planning and construction, project management, and quality and productivity. Gerson previously served for 13 years as RoadTek Brisbane Operations Manager, delivering construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects, and also held the role of Deputy Director General (Infrastructure) for the Paraná State Department of Education in Brazil. He leads multidisciplinary teams, manages procurement and contracts, resolves complex engineering challenges, and ensures projects meet time, cost, and quality targets, while providing strategic advice and promoting strong, ethical project management practices aligned with Queensland Public Service values.
