Hanwen is a civil engineer in Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads. He works on the delivery of road safety, batter slope remediation and pavement maintenance projects. Meanwhile, he leads and supervises various research and development projects and collaborations with universities. Hanwen graduated from UNSW with a PhD in Civil Engineering, investigating hydraulic structures and multi-phase flows. He then established himself in other fields of Civil Engineering including construction materials and geotechnical engineering, through academic research and project delivery.
