Haris is a Registered Professional Engineer and Senior Road Safety Auditor with over 13 years of experience in road safety, transport planning and traffic engineering. Haris is experienced in front end project development having led and contributed to major transport planning studies for the Department of Transport and Main Roads and local authorities. Haris has a strong track record in developing data driven approaches to assist state and local governments prioritise road safety investment where it will have the biggest impact. This includes working with the TMR Safer Roads team to develop the Infrastructure Risk Rating (IRR) model to inform the speed limit review process in Queensland. Haris is passionate about finding innovative solutions to achieve Vision Zero and is a strong advocate of using emerging data sources to inform road safety investment.
