Jesper Jensen is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia – Queensland and Northern Territory (IPWEA‑QNT), supporting public works and infrastructure professionals across the region.
Jesper brings a strong technical background spanning local government, civil and structural consulting, concrete product manufacturing, and senior technical, innovation and business leadership roles. Through the Institute Jesper focuses on delivering products and services to public works professionals that deliver infrastructure resilience to the benefit of Qld communities.
He is co‑author of the Resilient Road Infrastructure Guide, contributing to best‑practice guidance for improving road network performance under increasing climate and disaster pressures.
As CEO, Jesper also leads the assessment of RPEQs and enablement of professional development and capability uplift for professional engineers, aligning training, guidance, and practice with the evolving needs of councils and infrastructure owners.
