Neville Janssen is the Principal Surveyor at the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), leading the Survey Unit in the Geospatial Technologies Section in Brisbane. With over 30 years of experience, spanning State and Local Government agencies and private practice, Neville has built his career around delivering professional surveying services for transport projects and state-wide initiatives.
Currently, Neville oversees the management of TMR’s Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) network, a critical system enabling precise positioning across Queensland. He also chairs TMR’s Survey Technical Working Group, driving innovation while ensuring state-wide consistency.
Neville holds Graduate and Postgraduate qualifications in Surveying and is a Registered Surveyor with Engineering and Cadastral endorsements. Known for his curiosity and problem-solving mindset, he is passionate about exploring new technology and advancing solutions that benefit Queenslanders.
