Jamie Wong is a Senior Engineer (Strategic Asset Management) with the Department of Transport and Main Roads. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and a Master of Data Science from The University of Queensland, and is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). With over a decade of civil engineering experience across consulting and construction, Jamie brings deep infrastructure knowledge alongside technical capability in data engineering and data science practices.
He now applies this combination to improve how Queensland’s state-controlled road network is managed, designing and deploying interactive dashboards and data pipelines that turn complex asset condition data into clear, actionable insights. His work on the Linemarking Dashboard reflects a focus on evidence-based, proactive asset management, helping engineers identify high-risk road segments, optimise maintenance timing, and deliver safer outcomes at lower cost.
