The Collaborative Project aims to embed ‘collaboration as standard’ by developing and implementing a collaborative procurement and delivery model.
The project, overseen by a joint TMR and industry Advisory Boards aims to operationalise the TMR-Industry Collaboration Charter developed in 2021.
To deliver our objectives the Collaborative Project is implementing a systems approach to build in collaborative tools into the TIPDS. These collaborative tools include a project profile tool, a procurement playbook and a contract model guidance.
Some aspects of this approach have been trialled on the Rockhampton Ring Road project and the learnings incorporated, and engagement with the districts, regions and other delivery areas is continuing to further trial this collaborative approach across other TMR projects.
This collaborative approach will support the move away from adversarial behaviours, reduce the time and cost of tendering, improve cost certainty and the way that value for money is assessed, while ensuring that TMR and industry build capability and capacity to deliver our transport infrastructure program.
